Edicts are bonuses for a given period of time, typically for a day but other durations (a diddy for example) are possible. They are typically granted by the government for the Toadwater community -- the government pays for them out of the treasury. There is also the option for a player to purchase a privately funded edict.

Edicts Types

  • "Ceasefire edict" prevents the chopping of other's fencing
  • "Construction edict" doubles construction XP for members
  • "Humidity edict" gives everyone the benefit of 100% humidity
  • "Quench edict" gives everyone a full thirst bar
  • "Whittling edict" doubles whittling XP for members
  • "Forestry edict" doubles forestry XP for members. This includes planting and chopping as well as picking up wood piles.
  • "Edict of Grandma Winters" doubles weaving XP gained from bags and gloves. Also triples XP from weaving cloth.
  • "Edict of the Green Market" triples farming XP from crops.
  • "Edict of Woman's Suffrage" doubles cooking XP gained from making salads.
  • "Edict of the Golden Whip" made workers hired and assigned jobs during the edict work 3.33x faster as well as tripled management XP. This edict has been removed due to missing code.
  • "Construction edict" with "Quench edict" doubles construction XP plus gives a full thirst bar for members while it gives nonmembers one or the other depending on what they construct
  • "Whittling edict" with "Quench edict" doubles whittling XP plus gives a full thirst bar for members while it gives nonmembers a full thirst bar
  • "Edict of Recyling" doubles the products from whittling due to scraps being reused rather than thrown out.
  • "Edict of Lactose Intolerance" Squirrel Milk and Radish Buffs are automatic (+Cooking, Poo, and Textile).
  • Toadee Teaches Tools
  • "Edict of Change" makes your base skill levels for whittling and construction the same (whichever is greater) -- note that radish buffs provide their normal benefits using the base. Also provides double seeds from chopping trees).

Edict Prices

Please note that for a person to purchase their privately funded edict, they have to pay an extra 50 million gold which goes to the treasury. The prices fluctuate as they are used or not used. Every time they're used, their costs double. For every 11 diddies they aren't used (at update), their price is dropped by approximately 7%. Below are the old costs to give you some idea on where they are now.

  • Release New Tree - Cost: 1,100,000,000 gold. (note that this price will increase as more trees are bought)
  • Edict of Humidity - Cost: 350,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Whittling - Cost: 275,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Construction - Cost: 200,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Grandma Winters - Cost: 325,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of the Green Market - Cost: 350,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Women's Suffrage - Cost: 200,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Forestry - Cost: 150,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Ceasefire - Cost: 100,000,000 gold.
  • Edict of Quench - Cost: 500,000,000 gold.
