Moving
From Toadwater Guide
If you want to move items and/or your dwarf to places you cannot walk to in the world of Toadwater, judicious use of passenger pigeons, aka PPs, hitched to ponderosa pines, aka PPINEs, will speed the process along. This wiki entry offers ideas for doing this efficently.

How a Player Can Move another Player One-Way
Step 1: Get a Buddy
Let's say you are in world G2 but want to make a one-way move to world G4. Since these worlds are on continents separated by water, and boats do not exist (yet), you had better know someone in G4 who can help.
Step 2: What You & Your Buddy Need to Start Move
In G2 make sure you have these in close proximity:
- A minimum of one PP on a horse chestnut, aka HC
- A minimum of one wood duck on a black tupelo
- One fully-grown, bare PPINE
- Lots of worms and at least one free slot in your inventory
- Note this requires 3 squares minimum
- Putting birdhouses multiple black tupelos and HCs are recommended since it can take several days/weeks for an individual bird to arrive
In G4 your buddy should have the same (buddy does not need a PPINE).
Step 3: Flying Around to Complete Move
- Buddy grabs one PP then rides duck from G4 to SWI
- You grab your PP then ride duck from G2 to SWI
- Meet buddy at a bare PPINE on SWI -- if no PPINE is available there, tough luck
- You hitch your PP to the PPINE
- Buddy rides the PP you hitched
- This takes buddy to your PP's HC in G2
- You ride your duck back to G2
- Remember that your duck will fly you back to your duck's black tupelo automatically in an hour, no matter where you are, so be sure to coordinate with your buddy so Step 3 can be completed within an hour
- Buddy hitches PP to the PPINE in G2
- Buddy rides duck back to G4
- You ride the PP buddy hitched
- This takes you to your buddy's PP's HC in G4
Congratulations, you are now moved to G4!
How Two Players Can Make an Intercontinental Link
Step 1: Get a Buddy
Let's say you are in world G2 but want to travel back and forth between there and world G4. Since these worlds are on continents separated by water, and boats do not exist (yet), you had better know someone in G4 who can help.
Step 2: What You & Your Buddy Need to Start Set Up
In G2 make sure you have these in close proximity:
- One wood duck on a black tupelo
- Two bare PPINEs and a bare HC
- A minimum of two PPs on HCs
- Lots of worms, one birdhouse, and at least three free slots in your inventory
- Spare birdhouses are also recommended
- Note this requires 6 squares minimum, 7 if a hoard is desired for storage -- also, the duck is only needed for the initial set up so it need not be close by, just remember the hour limit before the duck whisks you back home
In G4 your buddy should have the same.
Step 3: Flying Around to Complete Set Up
- Buddy grabs two PPs then rides duck from G4 to SWI
- You grab two PPs then ride duck from G2 to SWI
- Meet buddy at two PPINEs on SWI -- if no PPINEs are available there, tough luck
- You hitch a PP to one PPINE (buddy hitches a PP to the other PPINE)
- You ride buddy's hitched PP "back" to G4 (buddy rides the PP you hitched "back" to G2)
- You hang your birdhouse on the bare HC (buddy does the same in G2)
- You hitch your remaining PP to a bare PPINE (buddy does the same in G2)
- You ride your duck back to G2 (buddy does the same back to G4)
- Wait for the newly hung birdhouses to gain PPs
Summary of what G2 should have:
- One PPINE (bare) and the other PPINE with buddy's PP hitched on it
- One "used" HC (its PP is in G4), one HC with your PP on it, and one HC with buddy's PP on it
- You
Summary of what G4 should have:
- One PPINE (bare) and the other PPINE with your PP hitched on it
- One "used" HC (its PP is in G2), one HC with buddy's PP on it, and one HC with your PP on it
- Buddy
Congratulations, you have established an intercontinental link!
Now when you want to go to G4 for a while, just grab a PP, ride buddy's hitched PP "back" to G4, then hitch your PP to a bare PPINE so you can stay in G4 indefinitely. Now no matter who wants to go to G2 first, just remember to grab a PP in G4, ride a hitched PP back to G2, then hitch the PP in G2 to stay indefinitely.
