Why does this page link to Idols? Most of these tree entries have one sentence. Are we against replicating information in the box to the side? We can atleast exlaborate on this and give some length to the article. Killerkop 05:14, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I created the tree pages mostly to demonstrate the kind of thing you can do with the wiki. If anyone feels like expanding on the text for the trees that would be great, although there isn't much more to say about a lot of the trees. As for the link to Idols, I try to put interwiki links into pages as much as possible. My general approach is to link any words that directly correspond to an existing article (like the word Idol), and I will link the first instance of that word on the page and not any others, otherwise the links clutter the page.
The reason for linking is pretty simple, say a new player were to look up balsam fir on the wiki for some reason, but hadn't found out what idols were for yet. They would reach this page, and then see the link to idols and if they were interested could go there and read about them.
Basically, the wiki structure is that you keep following links you are interested in, and that way you discover information which is useful even if you weren't looking for it! Spider 13:49, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
