no.... why do you think we'd listen, in any sort of way, to an opinion on purging our player base?

The last time we tried a purge, we almost crashed the server. We aren't doing it again.

I still think Vaping, say, 10 players a day wouldn't crash the server. And I already have a start on on weeding out the people who need to be vaped. I am starting a list of every player, last active date, and lvl. So pick 10 players each day, pm them, and if they don't reply in like a week, vape them. And obviously is we did that anyone who reads the boards would know WAY before vape time that they need to sign on. Right?? Right??

Only you can't see when they were last active. Oops, there goes your idea.

I think maybe what twisti means is that the last active date is only related to the forum and not the game. Some people play the game without going on the forums.

Hrm, perhaps. I guess I'd have to ask the Matts about that. except they seem to be ignoring this conversation.

UltimateLoath is right, only an admin can see when someone was last active in-game.

Well, if their forum account hasn't logged in since 2002, maybe it'd be a guess that they aren't exactly active?

So there is nothing we can do to get a purge, and the longer we wait to purge the more cance we have of crashing the server, and most the people here seem totally fine with that....
Fine. Whatever. I give.

nah, the players database is tiny compared to the world database, and it's searched less often Smiley
