I always found it to be odd when I read "macro program (non-attended: this allows you to play without actually playing)" in those rules.  The opposite statement of attended macros allow you to play by actually playing, is in serious error.  ANY macro (attended or not) means you are playing without actually playing.  If an attended macro that allows you to sit there, watch TV, or read a book as long as you are physically there is actually playing, then I must have the wrong definition of "playing".

I know all the people who use them have great explanations of why they are "necessary" and how it is not cheating and all that other bull crap.  I am just so old fashioned as to think that actually using the keyboard or mouse to perform actions with your own fingers is actually "playing".  Silly me.

No. I enjoyed it for a year and i never did that. I had a great time planning, designing an efficient base, thinking through my skill development in becomming nr 1,...
Base design can keep you busy for weeks, but you need skills to get there. So I macro the skill part, and play the fun part. Also raiding bases, stealing stuff and pillaging are things that aren't repetative, yet fun, but also require materials and skills.
