Just downloaded the new client, and apparently i've gone deaf.
I do have play sounds checked.

Make sure your volume isn't muted in Windows.

I apologize for that.  During the server move, we completely forget to move sound over.  They should be all working now.  If you already have used sounds before, it would be keep working in Bryans case since the client downloads them.
