The Tree page on the wiki says it's out of date, and searching for "tree age" returns every post on the forum with a word ending in -age, which is not really helpful, so I thought I would ask:

According to the metric time page, an in-game day is ten metric hours, but when I plant a tree and it takes maybe a real hour or two to grow, after it's grown it shows up as 2-4 days old.  Also, I have some 70-day-old trees now, as I'm trying to experiment a bit with aging them, and I know I haven't been around for 70 metric days, etc.  Is this a cloud world thing, where time goes faster for newbies, or is tree age calculated some other way?  Also, while I'm here, how old does the tree have to be in order to get multiple pieces of wood from chopping it down?

100 tree days = 10 metric hours. so 1 tree day = 0.1 metric hours or 10 metric minutes.

it takes a tree different times to grow according to level.

[tree level] * 10 metric minutes. So Balsam takes 10 metric minutes to grow and comes out as 1 day old. where as a level 67 tree takes 670 metric minutes (6 metric hours and 70 metric minutes) and comes out 67 days old.

Also worth notes an ingame day for you and a ingame day for your trees are two diffrant things.

Players Characters age is 1 hour (NOT metric) = 1 day. Tree age is 10 metric minutes (almost 15 minutes not metric) is one tree day.

Ahh, like dog years, I guess?  Do fences wear out at 2xlevel metric days, real days, player days, or tree days?

Just thought I'd mention, 1 metric day = 1 real day.  A day is a day  Tongue

But who knows really? The problem with forums/discussions like this is everyone thinks they know all the answers, everyone loves to propose solutions or debate their overall worthiness. But in reality, not much actually happens with all that talk and debate.
