Well it's the peak of summer which means most students have some spare time to read.

What book(s) have you read recently for fun?
What is your favorite book?

Also it seems E-Books are the new trend.  Does anyone have one?  I've been looking at the Nook and not sure how nice they are to use.

I have always been a big fan of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I have been reading them for a number of years and am excited to read the second to last book later this year and the final book in the series next year when it is released.

What Flinnt said.  The Wheel of Time series is awesome!

Also, I enjoy David Eddings as an author.

I'll have to see if I can find the Wheel of Time books at my library.  One of my favorite books of all time is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey.  It's a great novel that explores a insanity and how we perceive them.  It has a great story line of the entire system controlled by a nurse that is turned upside down by one criminal looking to escape a work camp.

I saw the movie for that novel, it was pretty good. If you are going to start reading the Wheel of Time books you better have a lot of time on your hands. There are about 10,000 pages worth of reading in the series right now with 2 more books to come. Well worth it in my opinion though if you can find that sort of time.

Mabye Kim Peek could have but I think he died.

Too bad reading off a computer monitor sucks.  Undecided

Also I read Pillars of the Earth and World Without End by Ken Follett Recently, I highly recomend them.

I've recently re-read Huxley's Brave New World, and gained even more respect for the work.  There are so many minute details, and bits of foreshadowing that I seemed to have missed the first time.  Additionally, reading Brave New World Revisited offers an interesting look upon thoughts behind the book as well as an interesting view on 1950's and modern society.  Both are books that should be read if one has yet to read them.

Gates of Fire is a very good read

Catcher in the Rye is always a good read.  It's a shame he didn't write very many major novels after that.
