I'm curious on where the active players now found toadwater.

I found the game through a runescape forum where I was promised poo flinging monkeys by dragoon.  What about you?

I worked on SMF. Someone came looking for a rpg-like mod for it. At some point, this game came about and a like was posted over there--so I investigated.

Now they've got me chained to a chair in the server room.

I stumbled across TW on some random web site that listed free morpgs several years back. I played a bit, then gave that account away. I liked the game, so I began playing again.

I discovered Toadwater when a friend of mine and her brother told me about it at our karate class, back in 2006.  I didn't actually get around to trying it until '07 though.

I was referred by a good friend back in college.  I was bored one day, and he told me to wash strawberries for him while he did homework.  Then I thought, this is stupid.  I want my own experience!!!  Because of him, 3 of us started playing.

When I joined, posts were mocked if the words there/their/they're were treated as equivalent.  Since that was so different from the rest of the internet, it stood out.  Those days are over now, that's for sure.  But, I still like the game.  I don't understand why, at all, but I like it enough to play almost every day.

2003 i started, found it on some free mmorpg site. stopped playing for like 4 years. came back today, started a new char.
