I am very curious if there are any iOS users here and what you use and how you feel about it.

I bought my first Apple product in June of 2009. It was an iPhone 3GS. I got hooked. Since then I have purchased many other Apple products and was wondering if there are any other people on here who use any of the iOS devices. I believe there are more than a few of us who use a Mac computer, but I dont know how many use iPods or the like.

If you do or don't use them feel free to tell what you use and what you like or don't like about them.

Hi, guys. I am a mac user too. I have many Apple applications on my Macbook. But happy to tell you that, at present,  my favorite are mac monitoring programs like Mac Keylogger and Mac Spy. I use it to watch out my kid's computer usage and it works very well.

I love the new iPhone 4s. Finally got one in white after waiting from the first time Igot the 3GS in June of 2009. I haven't upgraded all of my other iOS devices to iOS 5 only the wife's iPad and it works fine. My iPad 2 is jailbroke and I am not sure I want to lose the jailbreak to update it. I really love the app 3G unrestricted. It lets you ignore the 20 Mb download rule and let's you download anysize file no matter what type of connection you have. Which most of the time I'm on AT&T old edge network.

At this point I'm contemplating buying the $30 log me in app so I can "try to play toadwater from the iPad while on the edge network.  Not sure it's worth it to be able to only do very minor things from far away. Just wish I lived and worked in a more 3G covered area.

Great jailbreak app: MyWi. If you don't have it, it's amazing. It's tethering with a flat fee as opposed to a monthly rate. (Just $20, never buy it again)

If you're doing what I think you're doing by abusing the tethering you might get your device permanently bricked and there's even reports of lawsuits against people stealing service like that, so take care how much you use that. Obviously it's easily traceable if you hook up your PC and use it as your main ISP.

:/ Awkward. I very rarely use it anymore, and I definitely don't use it as a main ISP. I also wouldn't at all say I'm "stealing" service, but it is against the TOS (which I didn't know) of AT&T.

Yeah I tried that out some last year and it worked but I just used it to see if it would work. The one they say to use these days is Called PDAnet. I don't use any of these  us I don't need tethering. My iPad2 has 3G service and considering what the damned phone bill is the extra 25 a month for service in it is acceptable at this point. I don't really use any jailbreak apps except the one I mentioned and one I bought called barrel and it just makes the screen change cooler.

I am pissed at the moment though. My damn iPad fell off the dash this morning and busted the screen.  Was using a ram mount and it came loose.  Still works but sux it broke.

Saying you aren't stealing when you're hacking your iPhone to abuse the service is like saying you aren't stealing when you crack open a street lamp post and plug in wires to use the electricity to power your whole house.

Give TeamViewer app a  try.  I use  it from my iTouch.  The free individual version, not the Commercial version.

Don't even get me started on this... I'm having hard enough time convincing my friends pirating software is still... well... stealing. Sure, not stealing a physical product. But it's still not paying for a service you use. So maybe more like hiring a maid and not paying her afterwards? While calling her in every week? Cheesy

I disagree with your analogy Twisti. You have a valid point, but I disagree. I pay for an unlimited data plan. I use very little data due to the fact that I am almost never in a 3G data area.  I want to be able to download an audiobook file that is 21 Mb and not have to wait till I get home. Yes I know they don't want you to have this option, but I am not downloading 15 Gigs of data to abuse the system. I'm not going to split hairs about wrong being wrong no matter how small. Like saying a white lie is as bad as killing someone because it's a sin in Gods eye. I say bullshit.

When you're done nerdraging, you might want to read my post again and see that I didn't compare stealing internet service with murder, but with stealing electricity, which I think is quite an apt comparison.

It's more like doing the own wiring in your house when part of your contract says that you must hire a professional. Yes, illegal. Definitely not stealing.

So then you can get a professional to set it up so you can use your iPhones internet to download, surf and play games on your computer ? My bad, I didn't know that. I thought, like the wiring for lamp posts, that the iPhones internet was restricted to a few certain things, and that if you cracked it open to get more than you paid for, it'd be like stealing.
