As Minecraft finally hit 1.0, and Bukkit is making progress towards a stable build, I was thinking about finally setting up that decent, well configured TW-MC server we talked about a while ago. I have some ideas of what I want, and I'm sure some of you do as well. So let's hear'em!
My ideas:
Two (at least) worlds, one that's more 'creative' - monsters at night, limited resources, maybe a store to trade, but with 'fair' prices, so you can't just trade some gravel for diamond blocks. The other world outright creative, flying allowed, infinite resources, that kind of thing. Maybe with a portal or so between the worlds.
Worldguard to protect peoples stuff so we can invite friends to come to our server without having to worry that they'd mess things up. I was thinking maybe we could set it up so you could buy areas of land to build on, and that would be all yours and others couldn't damage it. You could even make fun rides or dungeons with traps because other people could go in, but not just whip out their pickaxe and chop their way out.
Check out what kind of plugins we could run here, and feel free to link me:
