Title: Official Toadwater Trivia
Post by: Dragoon on September 28, 2006, 08:03:28 am
Questions will be casually posted in the form of trivia.  The first person to answer the question will earn a point.  You can trade in 5 points for a donation. You cannot transfer points to other players. It should not be viewed as a quick way to a donation.  There is no set schedule for trivia questions. If you are positive that the last question was already answered correctly, do not reply to the thread.

1. What is the name of Toadee McPerkin's wife?

Eastern or Western Hemlock.

However, technically, that was the first tree in TREEwater. The first tree in TOADwater was Balsam Fir.

I should win.

Twisti, when you asked me for the answer to this trivia question, since you didn't know, I said Eastern Hemlock.  I dont think you should win for listing 2 answers.  Actually, should you win at all, since you cheated and asked me for the answer?  I really dont know

Title: Re: Official Toadwater Trivia
Post by: Dragoon on October 12, 2006, 10:54:13 am
The answer to the previous question was Eastern Hemlock.

Treewater later became Toadwater. The experienced gained in the aforementioned became the latter and is thus the same.

The first "Toadwater highway" which took on average, an hour to travel, linked Katai and this other well known player.

Qill

Qill made Eastern Hemlocks unchoppable for a while. (Side note: They were finally destored by a creative idea to hire a worker on them instead, ingenous at the time during slow periods of play.)  If you did attempt to chop it, you were teleported to the middle of ______'s base.

It is hard to beleive that there can be so many guesses that are wrong. 8)  I did a google search on it and it does appear.  It must indeed be rare though.  The only sites I found were about things made of its wood.

I probably didn't use the right search words for it.

I am really feeling like an old player if Dragoon and I are the only ones (maybe Matt as well) who know the answer to this.  It was a bit of controversy at the time.  To try to "save" the tree (or at least the idea of the endangered tree) by not letting people have it even virtually... :-\

There are a few left in TW but they don't show up on the tree list in TW.  It was replaced by another tree in it's level and taken off the list.

Third hint:  It is not "penis".   ;D

Only one guess is allowed per person, per day. (and Ispep can't guess ;) )

At one point, you didn't get vaporised for having too many deaths, if I remember correctly.

Yea the answer was me, because When the whole vaporized rule started i had already had 11 deaths but was very close to becoming a god, so we made some exception to the rule to include your one and only.

Also when we died we lost all of our money and ALL of our items, not like now

You should have said "Had ten deaths at the time of becomming a god." I'm sure several gods have died ten times before claiming godhood, me included.  :P

What player was politely asked to leave his base by Dragoon because Dragoon wanted a corner square in the old world.  The way it was worded was something like "Dear _______, You can leave your base now, peacefully, and I will give you some new fences for another base or you can be raided and sent out.  Thank you."

Myrrdin A.K.A. Invulnerable

correct.  Though that was before Myrrdin got the account.

Title: Re: Official Toadwater Trivia
Post by: Jen* on November 12, 2006, 09:18:47 am

correct.  Though that was before Myrrdin got the account.

Which is actually quite funny, since he gave Myrrdin land in the old world later. Originally, I was going to share the base with Myrrdin.

New Question: When D2 and E3 first opened up, the access to the land was blocked by a corner base in C3 and a corner base in D4. Who owned those bases?

Nope. If it helps, the C3 guy had to dismantle his base to give people access to the two new continents..

Myrrdin was right about D4 - that was Spotted Toad, and Sleeper got the part about C3 right - BoonZee completely dismantled his base to let all the migrant dwarves pass through to the new lands.

Title: Re: Official Toadwater Trivia
Post by: Dragoon on May 12, 2008, 06:37:18 pm
correct.  Though that was before Myrrdin got the account.

I would like to clarify it was not Invulnerable, but 'bigmac'. Invulnerable lived south of me and helped me kick bigmac out of his base which was a couple acre base in the north-east corner.

I am sorry for taking a short time to clear up this matter.
