New Seed

So, I keep checking back each day to see if the new seed has been found and still no word.  Can we get official confirmation that it is indeed in game and what method, whether mining or statues, we are expected to use to find it?

The new seed, whereas new seed is a seed that no one has, is available through statues and a new type of fossilized seed.  The latter has been found before, however the player did not have a slot to accomodate.
