At a minimum they have the raw apache logs, which (unless they've enabled POST logging, which would be unusual) which will tell them how often farmboy was making requests (after a PITA bit of sifting for the entries from his IP). If there was a request coming in every few seconds its unlikely it was refreshing

If Post logging is enabled, they can simply look at what the posted action was: if action=refresh then he's in the clear

Whether the admins have a better logging system that simply puts time, username, ip & action only they know.

Does this mean that normal actions that did not cause popups before will now cause popups ?

Walking?  Chopping?  Picking crops? planting? assigning workers? refreshing fences?

Some of these tasks with popups will be very annoying Sad

Popups are always annoying.

After talking to Dragoon, it looks like the macro getting triggered by a refresh was a bug, and in this spirit does not count towards his strikes. AFK refresh macroing has always been an accepted part of the game before.

I have difficulty for 2 reasons: poor eyesight, and colorblindness.  Sometimes characters blend.  I have been able to get most, but have asked people for help from time to time.

Post it here for other people to help.

Yeah, if you can't answer a popup, post it here immediately (before the 15 minutes are up) and you will not be considered AFK.

Just like there's no such thing as a routine operation, there is no routine action that we're about to take for not answering the popup in time. The popups are there to keep people from being AFK, so as long as it's one of those odd circumstances, I don't see why you can't use other proof that you were not AFK. And if you can't prove it, then just hope that you haven't used your freebie, heh.

I'm not too sure how the pop up stuff works now, but if there's a list, add me to it (although this is my first time).
