Workers stole my fences...

So I know that if a worker quits while fertilizing a field, it will take the extra fertilizer with him. But I've never heard of this happening with fences. I had a worker pounding in some fences, and they quit before they were done, and now I'm missing some of the fencing... Very odd. I don't think I lost too much, though I'm still looking. Any thoughts on this?

Change that. I've lost about 90 fences... That sucks. And I think I may have lost a few yesterday too, because I know when I was laying fencing I thought "Hey, didn't I already do this?" But I was using an old map, and I couldn't remember. Any idea why this happened?
