Figuring out how pea genetics work is going to take a community effort. An important part of understanding the genetics of peas in know what pea come from where. So when you find a new strain please report it in this thread and include this information:

*Strain Number
*Strain Name (Only if you want)
*Parent Strain
*Color

Also, if you find a mutation that has been already reported, but you get it from a different parent strain please report that here.

We have strains 32-36,38-44 documented, see the wiki page: http://www.toadwater.com/Guide/index.php/Strains

Edit: here is an up to date list of strains missing 75-76,79-80,83-85,90-91,95-96,98-101,103-15, 107-110    (I've accepted that we'll never get all the strains documented now)

But who knows really? The problem with forums/discussions like this is everyone thinks they know all the answers, everyone loves to propose solutions or debate their overall worthiness. But in reality, not much actually happens with all that talk and debate.

I got a #43 strain - "Ispepium"   Grin

The parent could be #1 or #34 as I had only 4 #34 growing and collected those after the #1.  When I looked at my invenbtory at the end, I saw I had collected 4 #43 seeds in an empty bag.

The color is green.

* edit...  I also had 1 #41 pea I harvested at the time but I doubt that was the parent.  Odds say it was from #1 strain.

I got a 47 strain from a 35 strain.

It is a green pea (from what I can tell) and the name is the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious strain

I got the 46 strain from 36.

It is green. No name yet. If I have to see the name for the 47 pea in my inventory at any time, I will not be happy.

Naming pea mutations was cute for about two minutes. Now I fear how screwball and, knowing TW denizens, crude the names will become. Particularly when they number in the hundreds.

I asked Travis about that and its a 20 character limit and he has logs that will tell him if anything offensive occurs while naming, for which there would be a punishment.

The new way to name peas coming before the 4th generation is going to be getting 500 peas of a certain strain and taking them to Larry. Whoever gets 500 of a strain first and trades them to Larry gets to name the strain.

Flinnt did an awesome job explaining it.  I named every strain that I saw a name for, from now on the strains will have to be named through Larry.  Remember to keep it appropriate.

Oh, and before I forget, I found a 48 strain from a 32 strain. It is a yellow pea. It will go under the temporary name Thaddeus Strain until it is officially named.

Yay me! 49 from 1

EDIT:

I only got 2 seeds, I just planted one in EBP.. Let's see how it goes. It appears to be green.

EDIT2:

Had my 1 Peabag, 49 Peabag and an empty one in my inventory. Kept farming strain 1 and got another mutation! Unfortunately it was 49 again, 3 seeds this time, but they went to the empty bag.. :S

EDIT3:

Only 2 seeds from the first harvest.. Now I can plant some more :&

I gave him a peabag with 502 seeds in it and he took the whole peabag, not just 500 seeds. Not a big deal, just an FYI.

So 44 is now named Dirty Harry, punks.
