I don't know if Darktide is even interesting to anyone anymore, but I have been wondering if any more interest could be created by running the Edict of Madness all the time on the Darktide server?

Thoughts? Opinions?

I'm up for a reset but only if a few players are interested.  Having super edicts would speed everything up and make it "hopefully" more fun for everyone.

I will play if its reset, I think the axe thing should be changed back though. I didn't like having to wait so long to get a level 2 axe.

Maybe make it so that we can either buy them or make them?  That way lazy players can still get them and motivated players can save money.

Perhaps the first five levels could be in the store, and player made axes could be given a small boost in making odds.  Thoughts?

Making axes is fine but I didn't like that I needed gloves to pick up the pickaxe to mine with. weaving takes a long time and you need a higher level axe before that. Unless I missed something major and there was another way to get a pickaxe.

Hit it with a hammer Wink

But I am definitely open to giving player made axes any benefits that you want, and the first five levels is a possibility. That specific decision is yours as the game's owner.

No matter what happens, control the outcome.

Player made axes deserve benefit, like more xp. or better chopping odds. If they are also buyable, that is.

How would a reset help DT at all?

Hardly anyone plays this version as it is.  Hence my quick rise in the ranks.

I think making axes sucks and the ratio of the axe level odds vs tree level sucks even more,  Considering we cannot hire workers to do anything the amount of time we spend making a level 8 ish axe then using it to cut down a level 8 tree is so time consuming we barely get to do anything else.

My opinion is probably twisted because I really don't care about Darktide, I just want a server where the experience hasn't been run up to the billions and every player doesn't have 10000 of every item in the game.

But I really do like some of the features in Darktide and think they should be on all servers, ecspecially the fence cutting/axe power ratio and Fences being twice as hard to make.

The axes aren't that bad.  Maybe I've just had good luck.

The whole bit with no one having 10000 of things is the reason I play DT instead of the regular.
