For one of my classes, I'm growing corn for three weeks.  Who ever grows the tallest corn gets extra credit.

Any tips on how I can win?

I have to show off my corn plants in class.  So I don't think I can plant corn seeds they didn't give me, professional botanists will be checking for cheating.

Pretty sure.  My seeds were red, never seen red corn seeds sold before in a store.  They might be just coated in chemicals though.

Regardless of your type of lighting if you keep it above the optimal distance from the plants it will cause stretching. That is assuming you aren't just going to plop them in a window sill.  Wink

I would agree with whoever said talk to a farmer, but not with a bribe for corn. Tongue
Ask them how they get their corn to grow healthy and strong, then emulate it. This would show you are willing to do the research and take the measures necessary to do the job correctly. Smiley Good luck!

I didn't cheat.  I just don't suck at growing things, year of experience from planting radishes at 100%.
