The knowledge of using herbs to our benefits have come to the lands of Toadwater.  Get your gloves ready and go discover the secrets of alchemy.

There are two parts of the alchemy skill.

The first part is finding herbs while doing normal activities.  There are currently three different activities that you can find the herbs (Farming, Forestry and Alchemy).  There are three tiers of herbs, with each tier granting increasingly better buffs and duration.  The herbs are rare to find, but a higher alchemy skill will help.  Also for each level of alchemy, the herb's affects last for an extra second.

The second part of alchemy requires herb picker gloves and the willingness to try new recipes.  Herb Picking gloves can be made from jute or from Golden Bamboo.  Golden Bamboo can be found while digging, but is fairly rare.  The bamboo also makes Herb Bags which are useful for carrying the many different types of herbs found.  Herb patches can be found on the main island to the north east.  After collecting herbs, dwarves are able to make alchemy recipes in Toadee's house using the alchemy mixing machine.  The recipes then are used to make the tonics, which have a wide range of affects.

Enjoy the new skill,
Travis

See my topic in the general support if you notice any bugs while trying out the skill.

The much awaiting sequel will be coming out before 10 pm (CST) Tuesday.  It might be a few minutes before, it might be days before, but it will be before then.

This update promises to make alchemy suck at least 4.23% less.

A full 33 minutes before I promised the update!

12 new buff timers for the herbs, that offer a short description of what they do.
Also a glass making system so you don't have to buy the over priced flasks.  Checkout out the sandbox on the main island and make some sand castles!

Still have more ideas for alchemy, I'll keep adding them during the next week.

Small Update today:

Alchemy news:

Alchemy herbs can now be identified by right clicking on herbs in your inventory.  A higher level of alchemy is needed to identify higher tiered herbs.

Eating the same herb now stacks the timers to encourage eating many at once.

The forestry herbs now remove .5 seconds per tier on the delay for planting trees.  The tier 3 herb makes it so it only takes .5 seconds to plant a tree instead of 2 seconds.

In other news:

Statues now give up to level 25 seeds.  Have fun getting the Sycamore trees!

The font on the Toadwater 2 board has been changed to match all the other boards.

Small Patch Today

Bearded Vultures can no longer be used on SWI.  To make up for this, they now last for four hours in your inventory.

Eating the mining herbs now help with making glass.  There is a chance to make more than one flask at a time.  Also it always saves time on the action delay.

Two changes that have nothing to do with alchemy.

Staffs now wear down five times as slow.  This should help out new players and older players walk further on their staffs.

Pounding fences now give popups.  If you notice any actions that don't give popups, but exp, please let me know.

Fixed a major bug using pigeons.

Added popups to scutching, tapping trees, adding birdhouses to trees, planting jute, harvesting jute, digging irrigation ditches, and setting down fences.

Expect small updates every day for the next few days,
Travis
