So I was thinking about a revamp to the edict system. What would you guys/girls think about personal edicts, bought with gold and some sort of items relating to the edict you want to start. Have NPC's or chests inside a building, perhaps take the castle from Toadwater Original and expand it a bit. When clicking on these NPC's or chests with your staff or nothing selected a popup would tell you how much that edict would cost you, in gold and the amount of the item cost.

To prevent overuse, the price of the edict started would get higher, by how much I dont know, and there would be a lockout timer that stops you from buying the edict in a period of time, maybe a week. When the lockout timer reaches zero, the price slowly starts to decrease to it's original number.

I would also suggest that these edicts only gave a 50% bonus to XP. This system doesnt favours the rich, and it's good to casual players.

Travis could still start the regular edicts, but I hope they would only be used on special occations and with fair warning beforehand.

I think Travis has something like this already in the works.

I do not like the idea of "personal edicts"  If you keep them global, the gap benefit between rich v poor decreases only to preparedness.
Also, I think they should need a community start as in more than one person-maybe a random number 1-10- should have to donate the items to get it rolling.  Again this will make some sort of coordination via chat or forum to make things happen and also allow for "warning."  Even if it is funded 100% by one person, they would still need to coordinate the other players to the donation chest.

with that in mind, the exp bonus becomes mute right about...now.  The 3x farming in the beginning was a bitch.  As was the 2x whittling...but now that everyone can plant berries or has access to someone who can plant berries and the trees that people can 100% are all public, the little extra bonus goes to those who have in fact put in the time on a day to day basis and frankly deserve it.
