Hi.

I am wondering if when you sharpen a quartz knife (in terms of how many uses are left) effects how many uses are added by sharpening or whether or not it consequently becomes unsharpenable.

I know that my first knife was able to sharpened twice, and my second one only once, so i know it is variable. I failed to note how many uses were added each time though, and am wondering if that is variable, and if either are random or influenced by when you do it.

Hi Alto,

Sharpening adds 100 uses, but each time you sharpen there is a 1 in 10 chance of scratching it such that it cannot be sharpened again. Sounds like you've been unlucky!
